Born and raised in Alabama and living near the coast most of my life- Charleston SC, San Francisco, Maui, and now Santa Cruz, CA.
I am an artist inspired by nature, and focus on repetitive patterns created in the natural world. Specifically fish and how they harmoniously move together, forming “bait balls”.
My work strives to capture the energy and rhythm of underwater life by using repetitive patterns and organic forms to highlight the complexities of ecological relationships.
Nature's beauty can be calm yet unpredictable, which inspires me to create art that reveals phenomenas of the natural world. By this, I aim to promote a deeper appreciation for these fragile ecosystems. With each work, I celebrate the grace and resilience of both small organisms and the larger systems they live in, reflecting the stunning patterns and vibrant life around us.
